Deed of Assignment (Beginner's Guide)

What is the Deed of Assignment?

A deed of Assignment, in general, is used for transferring assets or items that are non-titled. In general, it can be used to transfer any property, assets, investments, insurance policies, or anything else that has physical or digital existence. For Trust, you can transfer assets into or out of Trust using a Deed of Assignement.

When should I not use the Deed of Assignment?

Deed of Assignment should not be used for transferring titled property such as House, land, or business assets. For transferring such assets, you should consult the registry office, which it may require you to fill out different forms for transferring such assets.
