In USA, Canada and Australia, the intestacy law varies from state to state and province to province and territory to territory. USA has the state specific laws. Canada has the province or territory specific laws and Australia has the state or territory specific laws. So, if you have assets in multiple jurisdictions in these countries, you should consider creating separate estate plans for every jurisdictions.
