Brief overview of estate plans

Every estate plan has the purpose to achieve. It is essential that you get familiar with estate plan you purchase. You can learn more about every ESTATE PLANS HERE.

Estate plans and Instructions Guide

When you purchase estate plan (i.e., Islamic Wills, Trust, Living Will, Power of Attorney, Pour-Over Wills, etc.), you will receive single Microsoft word document that will include both estate plan and Instruction Guide. The important thing to note about the Microsoft Word format for your estate plan that you would find missing headers and footers if you do not use the Desktop version of MS Office 365 for Word. Also, there will be misalignment of tables and other elements in the word document if you use online Office 365 version. So, we strongly suggest using Desktop version (not the online Office 365 version). See more information HERE. Headers and Footers are important for estate plans

Decision-making tools

Wassiyyah has learned over the years about the pinch points in a community regarding estate planning and developed some of the tools in the blog format to help you make decisions on many diverse topics. It includes choosing a lawyer or attorney, deciding between different estate plans, notarizations, and more. You can access DECISION-MAKING TOOLS HERE, available for premium members.

Notarization

Notarization is crucial in Islamic estate planning before your estate plan can be considered fully legal. You must notarize all estate plans to give more authenticity and credibility, irrespective of the country you live and assets are located. Read REASONS TO NOTARIZE. Notarization is simple and can be accomplished with little effort; however, it may become time-consuming if not handled properly. Do not worry, and Wassiyyah will prepare you in a moment. Read USING A PUBLIC NOTARY guide before you go for notarization.

Doctor's note

You should get the Doctor's note for mental capacity for all persons creating estate plans. It's optional, but mental capacity is a legal requirement that may help the judiciary or court matters in the future. You should get Doctor's note right after creating and notarizing estate plans but not before that; otherwise, Doctor's note won't be valid. Keep the original copy of the Doctor's note with your estate plans. Your doctor can provide you with this form, but if not, you can download a sample Doctor's note HERE for free if you are a premium member.

Securing estate plans

An estate plan is much more than your house, jewelry, car, or any favorite things you own. After creating an estate plan, one of the most important things is to secure and protect the estate plan from any risk, such as flood, fire, theft, or others. Missing or losing an estate plan is the same as "It does not exist or nothing created." So, protect your estate plan before it becomes nothing. Read SECURING ESTATE PLANS guide for more information.
